- WHO TO PUBLISH EGE GAMES

THE EGE ECOSYSTEM

In order to be successful, the EGE Ecosystem must effectively grow its 3 pillars: Operators, Handset Manufacturers and Publishers.

Operators
The Operator endorses the EGE system in which IN-FUSIO handles operations and the Players Community management. The EGE Operator orders EGE enabled handsets from manufacturers and asks its preferred publishers to address these handsets.  The EGE Operator makes the content selection and decides the deck placement and promotion.  At last, it provides the billing means both for downloads and interactions.

Handset Manufacturer
The manufacturer integrates EGE on top of its current MIDP implementation, with the support of IN-FUSIO engineers.  The EGE handsets are then sold through operator packs or the retail channels.

Game Publishers
The Publisher brings the EGE enabled content to the various shelves supporting EGE. Development is done using EGE tools and IN-FUSIO support. The game must receive an EGE Certificate in order to enter the distribution system.

IN-FUSIO'S ROLE

IN-FUSIO Player Services is a facilitator assuring that system as a whole works well and maximizes the revenue for all the value chain actors.  IN-FUSIO Player Services receives revenue from contracts with Operators against its EGE system management.

IN-FUSIO brings added value by:

Technology provisioning
IN-FUSIO is responsible for providing all the necessary software to run the service, which includes:

  • EGE Client: Embedded games catalogue with advanced gaming and community features.
  • EGE Platform “Gamezilla”: IN-FUSIO’s field proven gaming server for downloads and interactions.
  • EGE SDK: A complete set of tools that increase mobile games development productivity that can be easily integrated into any standard environment as a set of libraries, routines and documentation.

EGE games certification
IN-FUSIO has to certify each game before it can go online for a commercial deployment.

Support
IN-FUSIO Player Services is accountable for providing publishers with support on all its products to be able to develop and test EGE games.

Service operation
IN-FUSIO is responsible of making sure the whole service chain is functioning and generates maximized revenue for all actors: binaries upload, off line catalogues generation, service monitoring and QoS control.

Players Community Management (PCM)
As any entertainment service, usage is reduced if players are not tantalized and kept motivated.  On top of basic service operations, IN-FUSIO ensures the management of the players’ community:

  • Traffic analysis and reports: IN-FUSIO creates reports and analyses, in real time, players’ behavior to continuously enhance the service.
  • Players’ segmentation: IN-FUSIO analyses player’s behavior and segments with Business Object and SAS tools to address them efficiently in direct marketing
  • Direct marketing actions: Mailings, promotions, events…
  • Contests organization: In order to motivate the players, IN-FUSIO organizes and manages contests with prizes on behalf the operator.

HOW TO PUBLISH EGE GAMES

Direct distributionecosystem1

Distribution of EGE games at EGE Operators is similar to distributing Java games.  Publishers keep their direct contract with Operators and propose their EGE games portfolio.  Operators pay publishers accordingly to these contracts and to the traffic data provided by In-Fusio.

Distribution via IN-FUSIO Player Services

ecosystem2Publishers can partner with IN-FUSIO and multiply the distribution channels without any additional effort through a single distribution contract with IN-FUSIO.  In this mode, as soon as a new EGE distribution channel is opened (new EGE operator or new country), the publisher’s games are proposed to all the channels.
